The Services of The World’s Second Best Luxury Train ‘Palace On Wheels’ Have Started Again.

In this regard, Dharmendra Rathod, chairman of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation, said that the Palace on Wheels, which gave Rajasthani culture a distinct identity among foreign gods, had left Jaipur for three days on its fame tour on October 8. It had 52 passengers. In the three-day tour, the train had visited Udaipur, Chittorgarh and Sawai Madhopur. On the first day, the train was flagged off by CM Ashok Gehlot. He said that now the train has been duly operated from Delhi on its first trip from October 12. After this, this train will continue to operate till the month of December. Apart from Minister of State for Tourism Murarilal Meena, other officials were also involved in the train. Apart from this, Cooperation Minister Udayalal Anjana had also reached to join the train journey. It is noteworthy that this train was closed for the last three years due to Corona.

There is no ticket for children up to 5 years of age, while for 5 to 10 years half the fare is charged. It has been almost 40 years since the operation of Palace on Wheels. In 40 years, more than 70 thousand people have traveled in this royal train. Most of the guests come from UK, US, UAE including Germany, France, Paris, Russia and America.

According to the RTDC department, this train will now run under the Bharat Gaurav policy. However, it can be operated only by Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation. There was a plan to give it to a private firm for a long time, but no one showed interest in it. That’s why RTDC is running it. 20 Percent of Profit is spent on Decoration

There was a profit of more than one crore in the last trip to the Palace on Wheels. Booking of this train is stopped for 4 months in a year, because after 8 months of travel, 4 months of train decoration is done every year. According to RTDC officials, every year 20 percent of its profit is spent on its decoration and other luxury facilities.
